Selecting and Moving 'Pen Line' seems 'not possible' (as told in Manual) - SnagIt - v.12

After Selecting a 'Pen' and creating a freehand 'curved line' with 'Pen tool' -> if i want to select that curved line to move it somewhere else, it does NOT SELECT the line and instead starts creating another 'pen line',

While in the Manual for SnagIt v.12 (Page no - 76 / 125) -> it is written that it is possible, screenshot attached for the same. Even it tells that the SHAPE of the line can Also be changed using 'Edit points', but i'm not able to see anything on right-clicking on the line (as right-click does not do anything).

Please suggest how to 'Move' the line and how to 'Change its shape'

First, Make sure that Create as a Vector is checked under the "Effects Tab".

To move the pen line, you just hover over it until you see the "Crossing Double Arrow" and  move it like any other object.

You can right click on the line you have drawn and select "Edit Points" . It creates a lot of points and I'm not sure how to best take advantage of that feature.
See Image Below, Click to Enlarge.

Thanks a LOT Joe,

Yes i noticed now, that for 'Pen Too' -> 'create as vector' is not selected by default,
So now it is creating the line and i'm able to move the line,

But i'm still not able to stretch the line using the two 'White' end-points, as they are not 'selectable',

any views on that too . . . .

And yes, edit points feature is VERY difficult to understand,
I wonder why there is neither any good tutorial for that nor there is suffecient mention in manual

I don't believe the feature was ever designed to give you the curve feature. It would probably create a huge mess if you could. But the  "Line tool" will let you curve a straight line.

thanks joe, yes trying to curve it gives unpredictable drawings,

actually i was trying to stretch the line in length (just to make it lengthier or shorter, and not to curve it) by dragging the white points present on its two ends, but not able to select the white points,

is there a way to do that
