Self hosting SCORM Quiz videos

Is there a way to self host SCORM quiz content without Screencast.com or a LMS?
I would like to just put it on our Intranet and we haven't setup a LMS and probably won't for a while yet.

Hi Patrick,

I'm afraid that SCORM is specialized just for hosting on an LMS. However, Camtasia does include our own built-in TechSmith quiz reporting, that can be sent to a pre-specified email. It will work for hosted 'mp4 productions with player' (such as on an FTP network, or on our own Screencast.com), and can be viewed using a web browser. Maybe this will suit your needs until an LMS is in place?

Let me know if you have follow-up questions on this.

Regards,

Aaron

Dear Aaron,

We are using Camtasia studio 8 and I have uploaded the mp4 file and the quiz to our IIS internal webserver. Everthing works fine but no results are send to the email address given during the "Produce and share..." process inquiz reporting option. Do you have any idea what might be the problem?

Thanks,
David

I'm experiencing the same issue. Everything works fine (videos play, users can take quizzes) having everything hosted on our IIS server, but no e-mail messages are being sent.

How does the Smart Player achieve the sending of e-mails when a quiz is completed? Is there a particular service or something that needs to be running in order for the mail functionality to work?

Please advise. Thank you.

I am having the same issue when using Camtasia 8 and uploading the SCORM .zip to the Moodle LMS. Everything works great, reporting in the LMS, viewing answers but no email is sent.
Please help
