Separate the emails concerning PC versions of Camtasia from Mac

I use the Mac version of Camtasia. Some time ago I selected something that would limit the notifications sent to me to just Mac Camtasia comments. But, I'm being flooded with email suggestions that relate to the PC version and both versions, as well as just the Mac version.

I'm now getting critical responses to my comments about Mac version changes from people using PC versions and assuming my Mac comments somehow mean changing or merging with the PC version. This is causing more email that wastes time because the comment doesn't relate to anything, but will now trigger a flood of responses about merging, which wasn't said or implied in my comment at all.

I'd really love it if I didn't receive any comment about PC versions.

Hi there!

Are you referring to the notifications from the Forums, or are you referring to TechSmith newsletters?

I thought they were all coming from the forum. It really doesn't matter, it's too much email wherever it comes from.

Hi there;

If they are coming from the forums you may want to take a look at your Email Notification settings (see: https://www.screencast.com/t/SDRdQNMuwOSH ). You can get there by going to https://feedback.techsmith.com/ and clicking on your username in the upper right corner (see: https://www.screencast.com/t/Xoqa3YIm ). In there you can adjust your notification settings; you can also click the "unfollow" button (see: https://www.screencast.com/t/nAR3NOHlZ7t ) on threads that you are no longer interested in.

Why should I have to do this for each topic and spend even more time? I already selected to receive Mac messages and did not select PC messages some time ago. Did you delete our suggestions?

Now I ALSO have to select each topic I don't want to hear about. I've already wasted an hour on these messages today. I really have more important ways of spending time. My whole point was to eliminate wasting time. This isn't working out very well. There are almost 1200 posts. This s a disrespect for your members.

Hello;

I understand the frustration; if you are currently looking to follow only the Camtasia (Mac) thread, but a thread is categorized as both Camtasia (Mac) and Camtasia (Windows) then you will be notified, as the category you are following is being tagged (which is often the case now, due to increasing feature parity between the two platforms). In the forum system that we use there is no way to not receive notifications on threads that are tagged both Camtasia (Mac) and Camtasia (Windows) while also subscribing you to the Camtasia (Mac) threads. Unfortunately the recommended steps are to unfollow the threads/categories that do not interest you (via the aforementioned notifications section).
