First, I got a black screen when I captured, so I used MS Paint, and print screen. Now trying another screen, it gives me the one it would not give me last time, and overlays the one I am trying to get this time. Serious bug!

Thanks, I have turned it (Kaspersky Total Protection - Safe Money) off and when I try again will see if it was the culprit. I wish, however, that I had a way to find out what the web address I could put into Kaspersky for Snag It, which would allow it to run without having to shut down part of my protection.

It's not a URL triggering the action.

When you have a web browser open and Safe Money enabled Kaspersky deliberately blocks screen captures as a method to safeguard your accounts. Theoretically, a bad actor or malware could record/capture your screen to obtain data that would be useful to hack your accounts.

If you reach out to Kaspersky support they may have a better way to whitelist Snagit or other applications.
