Setting Mac "aspect ratio" in Snagit 2020 - possible?

I often add screenshots to my ouTube videos, and I need them in to 16:9 ratio.  There is a key combo that works on PCs, but not, as far as I can tell, on Macs. I couldn't find anything on this topic under Snagit 2020.  Can do? If not, work around?

Hi,

If you do an all-in-one capture, then you will see size guides for 4:3 and 16:9 that the crosshairs will snap to. If you're not seeing them, press G to toggle them on.

One you've made a selection, you can move it around as needed.

If you need 16:9 in a different size, then once you've made the selection, hold down the shift key and drag any of the resize knobs and the aspect ratio will be preserved.

I hope this helps!

@Luke: The G button does nothing for me. I never see this aspect ratio information or any snapping. I'm using Mac Version 2020.1.2 (96036)

I would love to be able to take advantage of this feature but can't. Any other way to activate this info? I don't see a way to activate in preferences. Bug possibly?

Oops, I take it back. I was on the Image only capture. When I switched to All in One it worked! Why not have this option also in Image? (Now that I know I'll adjust easily enough, but this took me a bit by surprise)

Hi Matthew,

I'm not sure why it's not enabled for image capture, I'll bring that up with the team.

Thanks! Not a biggie once I knew to only use All in One, but a bit unintuitive why not present also in Image capture.
