Due I am a Youtuber with 2.5 million views in Youtube and 12700 subscribers, I use Camtasia for videotutorials. I am using the 9 version and I have uploaded three videos. I am testing the software intensively and I have found several serious bugs I think you should correct ASAP.

I have been following the forum, and I have see people posting messages like "I want my money back", "how may I downgrade", etc.

After using Camtasia 9, I can only say it is the best software for videotutorials I had the possibility to use in my whole life. Of course it is not perfect, but sincerely, I love it. I think it's time to give a great applause to all Techsmith people, doing the coding, giving support and so on, for giving to us this wonderful tool.

And now the bad news. The bugs.

BUG DELETE KEY FAILURE
- The delete key, simply do not work sometimes. You press the del key, but it does not work and cannot delete anything.

BUG CURSOR ARROW FAILURE
- The cursor in the timeline cannot move by pressing the keyboard left and right key.

BUG ANNOTATIONS KEYSTROKES FAILURE
- The annotations keystroke call outs do not detect mouse clicks and do not work.
What about if I have to tell the audience, please, press: Shift + Left mouse click ?
I just simply cannot do that. VERY IMPORTANT: Before having the brilliant idea of indicating this in English, have in mind Camtasia is used by many different languages worldwide. Do not specify Left Click or Right Click, say the same with an icon, showing the mouse and the pressed key.

If you press the DEL key, it does not work either. It says instead: DeadCharProcessed?
What the hell is that? Sorry.

THESE BUGS HAPPEN WHEN YOU START TO EDIT TEXT. AFTER THE TEXT EDITION, THESE KEYS NO LONGER WORK.

BUG: Text caption is not able to recognize the Crtl or the Add button, it is shown as an empty space.

BUG: Created folders in the library cannot be renamed. This happen sometimes, not always, and it is realted with the keystrokes failure.

In some way these bugs are related, but I don't know exactly what make the bomb to explode. I think people behind coding would suspect what is happening, after giving these clues.

Even if it has bugs, WELL DONE!

But please, correct them ASAP.

Hi there

Perhaps some of these are bugs. But the left and right arrow keys to move the playhead were actually changed to different keys. These being the < and > keys on the keyboard. That one threw me initially.

Cheers... Rick :)

Hi, yes, are bugs, I have tested it several times. As for the arrow keys, yes, you are right, in the US keyboard < > in the Spanish keyboard , and .
That is a big error. Not using something so universal as the arrow keys, and using the < > symbols... it's a great mistake. The arrows are present in all the keyboards, the < > symbols change according the keyboard and confuse the customer.
