(This idea is something we’ve heard from customers over time from several of our sources of feedback. We’re posting it here to gauge how well this fits our users’ needs. So please let us know what you think.)

My organization doesn't allow me to use unsecured FTP. We don't put anything outside of our organization walls. This is because of compliance laws. I would love to be able to send captures directly from Snagit to some of our shared drives. Right now I'm forced to save and upload manually because the Snagit FTP output doesn't support secure FTP.

This makes sense on usability grounds if not impossible to implement.

I utilize servers that are sFTP only and do not support "normal" FTP so this would help reduce some steps in my work flow.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled SFTP Support in SnagIt.

SFTP support would be awesome. The FTP support Snagit has is great, but my web host disabled all FTP access quite a while ago because people's servers kept getting hacked into. I configured WinSCP to handle the actual upload, but digging through commandline docs was painful.

This Idea didn’t get enough votes to be under consideration for a future release. So, we are marking this one as Not Planned for the time being. At this point, there are a lot of other things things we’ll be focusing on first. Definitely bring this up again when we do our next round of voting if you still see a need!

Here are the definitions of what the statuses mean for Ideas.
Here is the overall vote count for the rest of the Ideas in this round up.
