Hello Tj

People don't need to have Camtasia, Snagit, or whatever software you're using in order to watch your video.

I'll assume you have Camtasia, for this post. The key is to produce your video in a format like MP4 for example. Don't send them your Camtasia project (the file you use in Camtasia to build the video).

You can create a free account on Screencast.com and host it there. It's private and we don't touch or modify your content in any way. This is nice because you can send the link to the video to your viewers. When they click the link they will see your video--it even works on the vast majority of mobile devices.

I hope this helps--let us know if you have more questions.

Thanks for posting,
Mike Curtis

Thanks for the answer. SO I can also do an MP4 and save it and send it to someone and not worry about screencast? Then they can open the MP4 or do they need special software to see it?

TJ,

That's right. Sending them the MP4 directly will work. As an example, if you send it to someone using Windows, it should open in Windows Media Player for them.
