Hi there

SnagIt seems to remember the last folder I used and offer it up as the location for the next save.

In Windows, you are able to configure shortcuts to folders. It seems SnagIt simply uses a Windows dialog when saving. I've got some locations I've pinned as favorites in Windows to save to.

Seems this is more of an operating system thing than a SnagIt thing.

Cheers... Rick :)

I don't think there is the ability as such. What I do is have folders in the Snagit folder in my case "My Documents\Snagit" I also have symlinks & junction point to other folders. I can drop things into the main folder then immediately do a "save as" and just manipulate what's in the folder to the symlinks. I use the symlinks as I can then drag and drop into the folder link even if it is on another drive
This is not ideal and there are probably better ways, but this works for me

In case users wish to change the save location of their screenshots, they have to assign folder for each and every profile, regretfully so. In case of many different profiles this requires a LOT of clicks and browsing so to select the folder.
This has always been the same and sadly enough TechSmith does not intend to change that. Fail to understand why they don't want this.

I myself, want all my output to arrive in the same folder. Period.
I use Explorer to rename the files and subsequently move them to the right folders.
