Hello dbehrendsen;

Are you trying to edit a Snagit recording, or an imported media file?

Hi Aviners;

There could be an issue with the specific files you're bringing in. One of the benefits of the MP4 container is that it is quite flexible, the downside is not all applications/services use the same standards. Could you please open a support ticket here and put "Attention Robert" in it so it can get assigned directly to me and I can work with you 1:1?

I got the same problem as Aviners... I recorded the video in Snagit and whether I edit the file right away or download it and then open the file in Snagit for editing and cutting, I cannot save my project. The same error message is coming over and over again.
Does anybody has an advice for me, please?
Thank you.

Hi. I am having a similar issue with Snaggit version 2018.1.0 (64 bit) build 775. I opened and cut up a .Mp4 file and receive the same error  if I use save, save-as, duplicate, or use the share file option. I am receiving a different error code: 0xc00d36e6. Please let me know if a solution is found.

Same issue. I imported an Mp4 file, then cut out several sections. The final version was about half the length of the initial.
 I was using SnagIt version 12.4.#, had the problem, upgraded to Version 2018, then re-edited the original file. Same result. The edited Mp4 plays fine in the Snag-it editor.

I'm experiencing the same issue.  Cut a video but then can't save it due to error:  (Media Foundation error code 0xc00d4a45).  Version 2018.2.1 (64 bit) (Build 1590) - 25/06/2018.  Would appreciate a resolution please.

Hi Leah;

Have you opened a support ticket for this issue (which I strongly recommend)? If not you can do so here.
