Simplify Tool Option Request

The simplify tool is good but doesn't really seem to properly align its self with text (If you are using the text simplify option), I think an option for selecting the vertical spacing in between each bar would be a good idea as well as allowing us to like Ungroup the simplify text to delete extra bars and reordering them?

Hi Brandonrt - thanks for trying out Simplify! Totally agree on the utility of changing vertical spacing and line height for the text tool. That shipped on the Mac version of Snagit with 2019.0.0 and is planned to be "caught up" on the Windows side soon with a free update to Snagit 2019.

Would this give you what you need or are there things still missing? I'm curious, for example, about your mention of reordering bars. When would you want to do that?

Hi Daniel

I am curious why selecting non-contiguous simplified objects doesn't use the standard windows combo of Ctrl+Click but uses Shift+Click instead? That's very confusing.

Also, is there a key/mouse combo that will allow you to lasso a group of objects so you can work on them?  This would be so much easier, especially when you have a large densely packed group of objects.  Lasso to include objects that are entirely enclosed in the lasso area.  Items only partially covered are excluded.  That would be useful outside the context of Simplify

Select the move tool, select a block of simplified objects by dragging the area around them.
Hit delete to get rid of them.Change their alignment, etc.

Thanks Joe. I wasn't aware of the function of the Move tool.  I am now!

This video has some decent info on new features. That's how I learned how to do it.
The 10 minute mark or so covers Simplify.

Yeah, I watched that a few days ago.  Obviously it did not sink in. :(
