Slow and delayed response when scrolling with mouse or trackpad - Mac - Camtasia

I have been using Camtasia on a PC (9 and 2019) and a Mac (3 and 2019). While there is always room for improvement the scrolling vertically and especially horizontally on a Mac is atrocious.

The problem:

When I’m moving through my timeline, I like to use the scroll feature of my Mac’s magic mouse or trackpad. The response from Camtasia is delayed and only partial compared to what it should be. I have played with the responsiveness of both these items, but the problem remains. There is no option through the Camtasia preferences either. This really needs to be fixed if you want people to be serious about using Camtasia on a Mac.

There are several other responsiveness issues with Camtasia and the timeline, but the scrolling one is the most time consuming on the user’s part. I was really hoping this would have been resolved from Camtasia 3 to Camtasia 2018 and at least by Camtasia 2019.

If there was a way to fix this I would love to know about it, but my guess is this is an issue that has to be resolved with an update.

Using Camtasia 3 and 2019 Mac on a timeline with 260 items I have no noticeable scrolling delays. Perhaps this is related to your hardware or software? How does scrolling work in browsers and Acrobat (a notorious hog)?

It is only in Camtasia that I have the issue. It has persisted through every update on my iOS. I have my mouse sensitivity to be slightly faster than middle on the setting scale. I have tested in at the extremes of that scale as well. my hardware should not be an issue. I have a new MacBook Pro with 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 processor, 16 GB of 2400 MHz DDR4 memory, and a Radeon Pro 555x 4 GB Intel UHD Graphics (630 1536 MB). I haven't updated to the most recent version of iOS but I'm currently at mac Mojave 10.14.5. Still there should be nothing wrong with my hardware. Also, there shouldn't be an issue with the software because I have a newer version (and a new computer) with the issue. Perhaps the problem exists to people who want to get things done expeditiously. I just expect the mouse and trackpad to function as they do in all other programs on my computer. It is obvious to me that it is the way Camtasia was created.

I have the same problem with Davinci Resolve 16. I scroll left and right in the timeline with the magic mouse and I have to wait until all the times I swiped right or left finish moving before it will swipe back the other way. Doesn't do it in FCPX though.
