Slowness/freeze on certain websites loaded on Chrome after capture with Snagit

Using Snagit 2019.1.3 64bit on Win10.
After capturing ANY website on Chrome (up-to-date) some websites load very slowly and freeze. Most websites function just fine.
To recreate issue open chrome and use Snagit to capture something in Chrome.
Then open https://wiki.step-project.com/User:DarkladyLexy/Lexys_LOTD_SE
(above is an example I have found the issue with).
Chrome becomes sluggish or temporarily freezes.

Try using the "Brave" browser.  Brave uses the Chrome engine so it should be an easy transition. It's only problem to date is saving sign-on passwords.  So I don't have it set as my default.
What is does extremely well is block ads and tracking s/w.   Below reports my usage for the last 7-8 weeks.

I like ad blockers overall and think they are generally a good idea. What is totally frustrating is that many sites are now detecting the ad blocker in use and throwing up a giant block to prevent you from viewing anything unless you turn off the ad blocker.

I'm not sure whether to think this post is actually reporting an issue or if it's SPAM attempting to promote the site linked to.

If it's legitimate, indeed, the site does seem to freak out and the browser totally locked up and forced me to kill Google Chrome to recover.

Interesting behavior! Methinks you might want to contact Support. Just click Help > Technical Support in Snagit.

Cheers... Rick :)

I had 2019.1.2 installed and experience no delays or problems as described. Right after capturing a webpage.

I updated to 2019.1.3 I still have no problems. SO I don't know what to say other than that.

Regards,Joe

I just tried what you suggest. Opened Chrome, did an all-in-one capture of the page i visited, then went back in to Chrome and tried opening other pages. Everything worked flawlessly. Trying your link resulted in the 'Page not responding' banner a couple of times and then it settled out.

Indeed I capture things from Chrome hundreds of times a day and I've never seen a problem. But that link that was provided certainly wreaked havoc. Must have something to do with the coding used. Either that or we are all now infected with some kind of "drive by" malware. I sure hope not!

Thank you all for your replies. This is NOT a spam or an attempt to cause issues for anyone. I don't own that website or have anything to do with it except using it as a guide for modding Skyrim as do hundreds of other users.
It is interesting that Rick has the same issue but Joe does not! Again, other websites work fine for me too.
I do use adblocker but I have tried reinstalling chrome, disable all extensions, disable/enable hardware acceleration etc. to no avail.
@davidlambert the issue goes away if you exit and return to chrome. it only happens to me when I capture and then load that website.
MS Edge does not have this issue...

I never exited from Chrome after starting it. I loaded several websites after doing the capture before I copied and pasted your link.

WRT to the differing experiences, I note that Joe's post does't say that he actually visited the specific site you pointed us to. Only that he "experience no delays or problems as described. Right after capturing a webpage.".

That  should have told I did exactly what was described.Including visiting the website.

Heres a screen shot of the image, the second one after installing 2019.1.3 with the red rectangle.Complete with details and timestamp. 3.5 hours ago from present time of this posting.

The first one has a green rectangle around it.The one captured with 2019.1.2.

Something is up with that site.

After making a capture both with Chrome and Brave (which is built on Chrome) the browsers froze.

Maybe it's there server? I got a delay just now with my third attempt of about 2 seconds.

I repeated my steps and got no delay.

Anyway you slice it, I wouldn't blame SnagIt for the issue..

Agreed. I suppose I'll just load it in Edge or another non-chrome browser. Still, weird that Snagit + Chrome + that Website cause this issue for most users.

It is causing issues in multiple other sites.  There is some bug that is happening.
