Smart Player Controls Be Gone

Have you ever wanted to Not have the player controls show on your videos?
The smart player sadly does not let us render a video with any interactive features and not have the controls show.

This is an option that is really needed but I won't hold by breath that it happens.

So

Here is a "Work Around" I have been using and it has worked quite well.
It might work for you also :)

Nothing fancy just a simple how-to.

Hope you find it useful

Nice job and I too thank you for sharing.

Just a comment on the backup though. While I agree that a backup is an easy way to recover and I also often make backups with things like this, if things went sour, wouldn't the files be re-created by producing your output again?

Thanks again... Rick :)

If you are referring to reproducing your files by way of running your .tscproj backup through the editor again, then yes. But things would really need to have gone south before I would want to reproduce the whole project again.

What I am showing in the video though is only editing the one CSS file of your final/finished project. So before you edit it you should just have to make a copy of that one CSS file and save it.

Now in the event you should happen to do a "Wups...s#*t" on that file,  you can just replace it with a copy of the copy you saved and everything should be back to square one and you try again.

We test our hacks if you will, both locally and online. Once we're happy with the edits and it all works, backups of this final (edited) project are made and then its upload to the site or sent off to the client.

Here we make multiple backups of everything on important projects (the money jobs).
You know, just in case :)

Thanks very much! I teach American Sign Language and this helps a lot! I'd also like to make it so that students can't stop and start videos in the middle, but also that the video loops continuously. That way students have to view the signing at normal speed without being able to freeze frames by stopping. You mentioned in your video that you're looking into some other fixes that seemed to be along the same lines. Please let us know if you find a way to eliminate stop and start & allow looping without having the control bar show up after the first loop.
