Snag-it 13: FTP capture and Editor to FTP - FTP Settings not working

I am trying to get Snag-it to save directly to my FTP server in a specific folder. This is something I accomplished before, but today I installed the new 13 version and somehow it lost the ability to connect.

Furthermore, after playing around with the settings and with Snag-it, I noticed that the FTP implementation is still very crude and sort of useless.

Now, don't get me wrong: I love Snag-It and I have been using it since version 7 or so. But the FTP implementation has always been somewhat weak and I could not find any tutorials that went beyond "Just create a new Custom Capture"..

Yes, I did that, but it's not working. It would be nice if a tutorial showed exactly how the domain/IP, username, password and the path were to be entered.

But even if I make that work (which I will, have no doubt) there is still the issue of the Editor's FTP implementation.
The Editor's FTP plugin (or whatever it's called) clears out after each use. That, even if it worked, makes it at least cumbersome and at worse infuriating. It's much easier then to save the image and then switch to another program then to fetch and enter server, username, password, path, port, etc  just to upload an image to a web server.

The Custom Capture is certainly useful, but it is incomplete, since one of the great features of snag-it is the ability to mark up a screenshot with stamps, arrows, boxes, etc.

Taking a screenshot and uploading it to my server is nice, half the time, but on a regular basis I would love to be able to take a screenshot, edit it with arrows, shapes, text, etc. and then FTP it directly to my server to include in my blog post.

In fact, for that feature to really be useful, it would be great to have multiple instances of the FTP plugin, so that one could setup different servers and folders. I know I could use that.

Just my $0.02

Now, if anyone has any ideas on what could be wrong with my FTP (which works in the other 5 or 6 FTP programs I have), I'd be very grateful.

Thank you.
