We are on an older version of Snag It - 8.23 v 14.  We use this only to "print" a file to a folder on another computer and are struggling to turn off the editor preview window.  We have spent considerable time searching but have not found a solution.  Any thoughts?
Thank you.

Hello! I do not recall the particulars for Snag-it Version 8.23 since that is soooo long ago, although I have probably used it in the past since I have been using Snag-it almost since they started! I use version 11.4.3, the best and most user friendly and reliable version they ever released. With this version, once you get the Snag-it window open, I click on 'Tools' at the top, and then on 'Program Preferences'. In that screen, there are several option boxes to check or uncheck that all relate to the Snag-it editor. I uncheck ALL of these and I never use the editor at all. I also have the Snag-it files go to my own folders (which are not in the Windows provided folders, such as those in 'User'), and I never loose any files I have created with Snag-it, even when reloading Windows, or moving to another computer. I hope this helps!

If you were capturing the image to be printed with SnagIt.
You could configure Printer Capture Settings so it prints directly to a file.
Keeping the editors preview window closed by un-checking a box.

You have to acquire/load an image into SnagIt somehow.
You cannot print an image directly from your computer files.

Thats why the Editor opens before printing. Its simply loading the image to be printed.
You cannot change this behaviour.

If Capture to Printer works for you, thats all I can suggest.

Hey Joe, I know that many applications are able to run minimized. Wondering if that may be a possible answer here. If one might configure the editor as you show to run minimized so all that would be seen was a brief display on the taskbar?
