Snag IT Editor will not remain open!

Every time I try to open Snag IT Editor, it opens, waits three seconds then shuts down immediately????

I have tried re-installing and this only works until I create another capture and then try to view again in Editor.  

I am running version 2018.2.2 Build 2240 64bit.  Also tried updating to version 2018.2.3 and that is also failing...  Windows says it's successfully updated, however upon opening the version is the same.  Very frustrating!!!

Any help would be appreciated.

Try temporally disabling your antivirus program.See if that solves the problem.
If it does, you know whats wrong.
You could add an exception in settings to let SnagIt run.
Or contact tech support.
