Snagarchives - Selective backup from capture library (eg, by attribute such as year of capture)

The existing ability to backup the complete library is producing very large snagarchive files after years of using SnagIt.  I would like to see the ability, within the Editor backup function, to select a subset of captures in the library ... to archive to an appropriately named snagarchive file (eg, captures done during a particular calendar year).  The selected captures would remain in the library ... but subset archives would exist in addition to the usual global cumulative archive. This is a housekeeping and data risk issue.  There are other attributes in the library which might be attractive to some users for grouping for archiving.

I have made similar requests over the years but the wish seems to fall on deaf ears. My analogy is to make the library function like Outlook PST files, where you could have many libraries, some open and some closed. I have almost 24k of images that are loaded. I'm in Software Development. I'd like to arrange my images by my product's release version. I could then close it once it ships but retain for safe keeping and create a new one for the next release, etc. For many years I could not run the command to save an archive because mine was so large it would crash when I attempted to make the backup. Thankfully, a couple of releases ago, that was no longer an issue.
