Snagit 12.4. remove captures

Hello!
I installed Windows 7 with SnagIt 12.4.1 under a license key on my old PC. My new PC has WINDOWS 10 installed; I reinstalled SnagIt 12.4.1 and licensed it with another license key. (We bought several license keys and didn't install them all).

Now I wanted to transfer the captures from the old PC to the new PC and created a data backup on the old PC as described:
* File > Editor Options > Advanced
* Click Backup/Restore automatically saved files.
* Click Backup.
* Enter a file name and location.

The Backup.snagarchive file has been created.

Now I have imported this file as described on the new PC:
* File > Editor Options > Advanced
* Click Backup/Restore automatically saved files.
* Click Restore.
* Navigate to the saved file (SNAGARCHIVE) and click Open.

This is what I did... but I don't see my captures
==> What is the problem?
==> How can I transfer my captures (Capture file / library) to another computer?
==> Isn't it possible to transfer captures from PC A (lizence key 123) to PC B (lizence key 456)?

Thanks for a quick answer already at this point!

I know this is not the answer you are looking for but I thought it may be an option going forward.  I have had this experience on very first version of Snagit on my laptop many years ago when I upgraded to a new computer.  I never was able to figure out how to get this done successfully so I started to use the "Save As" for all my Image & Video captures.  It has also allows me to backup all my work to a portable SSD.

Nice work-around... For the most important captures I did it in the same way.
But I thought, the problem perhaps is occured by two different licence numbers.
But thank you for your advice!

In the editor go to EDIT / EDITOR PREFERENCES and on the Library tab at the bottom is the option to back it all up which can then be restored there or elsewhere

Alternatively you can copy your Snagit DATASTORE folder somewhere (zip it up etc.) then when the new one is created on the other machine, unpack it into that folder. But then you have to find all your SNAG files and open them in the editor where they will appear with all the correct tags and dates etc A bit more cumbersome but it will work

I believe the backup you create is a database backup that contains all the data (created by SnagIt when captures are created) related to the image files (storage location, bit depth, image and file size and so on.) The image files themselves have to reside in the same folder(s) on the new PC as they did on the old PC so SnagIt can find them in reference to the database.
One other thing, each license is good for two installs (separate devices not used concurrently) by the same user.
