Snagit 12 is recording window behind full screen (flashplayer) and controls are not on Top of Window....

I've installed Snagit 12 on a Windows 7 64-bit and a Windows 10 64-bit machine.  It operates properly on the Windows 10 machine, but something isn't right on the Windows 7 machine.

For one thing, when I go to a full screen video (which uses adobe flashplayer) the controls stay on the original non-flash screen.  The video that is recorded is also the original screen, although what I see is the full screen video, but that's not what's being recorded.

I always thought Snagit captured the image that presents itself on the monitors screen, but apparently this is not the case. While I'm seeing the full screen video that's showing on the monitor, that's not what Snagit is recording.  Snagit is somehow recording the smaller video on the original screen that's sitting behind the flashplayer full screen image that's appearing on the monitor.

Any idea how to resolve this and get the Snagit controls to come to the top of the screen, and to record the full screen flashplayer video instead of the video that's playing on the window behind it...?

What resolution is the monitor? SnagIt 12 is limited to 1920 x 1080 max when recording video.

The resolution is set at 1280 x 1024.

As I explained, this is not a problem having to do with the size of the capture.
This is a problem with the controls not appearing on top of the visible screen that I am trying to capture, as they normally do.

Because the controls only appear on the original screen on the Windows 7 64-bit machine, it is the original screen that is used to set the window to be captured.

After the 3 second countdown, I can switch to full screen view, but Snagit continues to capture the original screen, not the screen I am seeing before me on the monitor.
It is recording the window behind the window I am looking at.

I didn't think this was  possible, as I always thought Snagit was a screen scrape type of program, but after doing a number of tests, this is exactly what it's doing - recording the window behind the full screen flashplayer window that appears on my monitor.

I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the program twice, and it has made no difference. The controls still do not appear on top of the full screen video as they normally do, and it still insists upon recording the window behind the window I am seeing on the monitor when I switch to full screen mode.
