After recording a video of a webcam when I play it back I usually only get 8 seconds of it. The video stops changing after 8 seconds even though the video appears to play until the end.

Hi there!

Does this happen if you record just the desktop or a YouTube video? What is the full version number of Snagit 12 that you are running?

Snagit 12.4.1. The 8 second playback limitation occurs on recordings of webcams. Recording a YouTube video doesn't have this problem. Occasionally I am able to playback an entire webcam. The link is an example of a playback limited to 8 seconds. http://www.townofbethanybeach.com/365...

I'm having the same problem.  Snagit 12.4.1 Windows 10.  If I record a 30 second video, the first 7 seconds will play, then it freezes up to the last 3 seconds of the clip.  I have only tried to review the video on my computer.  No Youtube uploads.

Auto fix completed successfully, but did not solve the problem after a year of use on Win10-64PRO
\
12.4.1 Build3036

UPDATE: I did a trouble ticket and received back the autofix link as well as manual instructions. Although the autofix did not work for me, I now tried the manual method (replacing the .dll file) It DID WORK using the manual method. Now I am a happy puppy, thanks Nate for sending both links/info.

I'm having the same issue. Snagit version 12.4.1 (Build 3036) on Windows 10 pro version 1709.

The fix mentioned above appears to have corrected the issue.  Thanks!
