Hi all,

We recently upgraded a company workstation from windows 7 to windows 10 V1809.
Now we have "Snagit stopped working" message when try to open the application and when we click on debug bottom, we have this message :
But we have Framework installed and snagit was working before the upgrade, also framework 3.5 and 4.7 are included in windows 10 features.
When I check in Even log, I have this:

SnagIt 12 is pretty old. It was released in 2014. I'm sure TechSmith no longer offers support for it. Likely they would recommend that you upgrade to SnagIt 2020.

You might download and evaluate SnagIt 2020 to ensure it works with your setup.

Cheers... Rick :)

I have SnagIt 12 installed on the Windows 10 version 1903 build 18362.535
I don't use it regularly but it fires up and has flawlessly done anything I've asked of it.

The newest version of Windows is 1909 released in November 2019.

I expect the program become corrupted during the upgrade process.

I would run a repair install first.

If that doesn't correct it, I would uninstall it and perform a reinstall.Be sure to save your files.

Odds are, that's all thats required.

Snagit 12 is no longer supported by TechSmith, however, based on your event log details, you are not running the most current version of Snagit 12. It looks like you're running 12.3.2 and the last version of Snagit 12 we released was 12.4.1 which was the first to include support for Windows 10 -- well, the current version of Windows 10 in 2015; Microsoft continues to make significant changes to Windows 10.

Anyway, I suspect this is why it's working for Joe Morgan above and not for you. You can download Snagit 12.4.1 from this page

There are a lot of cool features you're missing out on with the old version and upgrade pricing starts at $24.95.
