Snagit 12 to 18: how to save Stamps, quick styles and historical library ?

Hello,

I just purchased many Snagit 18 licenses to upgrade our office group from Snagit 12.

My fear is that when we install the new edition, we will loose all our settings, personal stamps and quick styles.

Above all, we would like to keep our historical Library because we need to go back to previous jobs for documentation reasons.

This is not a deployment of corporate settings and file paths, every worker has his own settings so it would be great to have a procedure for one PC to restore previous settings and history.

We are working on Windows 7.

Thank you very much for your help,

Best Regards,

John

I have SnagIt 2011 at home and installed SnagIt 2018 a couple of days ago. It had no impact on/did not overwrite the old version, so I still have both of them on my machine. Not sure if this will be your experience.

You have both of them but do you have your 2011 settings on the 2018 ?

I prefer the stamps (especially the numbers) in previous versions such as in version 10. I've used these all over my documents and don't want to have to redo them to maintain consistency. Is there a way to use the old Snagit-supplied stamps?

Can you post an image that uses the stamps in question?

I
The number on the right is the one in the new version of Snagit.

P.S. Why doesn't this forum let me upload a *.snag file?

You can edit a stamp to make it look like the old one and save it as a quick style if you want but that is not the point of the topic which is transfering settings and personal items to an upgraded version of snagit.
