SnagIt 12 vs Word 2010 - Printing Images

I've got SnagIt 12 - create mockups, flatten all, copy/paste into Word 2010. Document has approximately 25 images in total - some print, some do not. Print Preview displays all images - but images do not all print on paper or to PDF.  There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason why an image is printed or not printed.  The sample page below shows the missing markers that were added from a corresponding image.  I used the SnagIt Editor Tools/Step to insert the numbered images then did a copy/paste of the step # image only into the word document.  I've also got entire full page images missing.

I've checked Word settings and image settings (all are "In Line Text") and looked on the community and internet in general but don't find a solution. Thank you in advance for your assistance/response.

Hi,
This is just Word being..  well, Word - sort of cranky and unpredictable. Word doesn't like pasting so much - linking is best.

When you link your images to your document, they will always print.

I know that pasting is easy, but, have you tried the linking method? The more recent versions of Word allow you to quickly insert and link an image (or, just link) right from the Insert > Image dialog box.

You can also choose Linking as the default setting in the Word add-in in the Share tab in Snagit Editor.

Can you give this method a go and see if all works as expected?

Thank you, Kelly.  I've used the Instert > Picture as a stop gap measure - my hope in finding a better "paste" method is that I could avoid having to save each image.  Thanks for your response!

Maybe try to Lock/Anchor the image on the page once you paste it.

The trouble is the images are floating and they need to be anchored somehow to the page. There might be a right-click option to lock or anchor the image after you paste it.

Perhaps give that a go.

I think this option might do the trick for you. Perhaps test it on one image that won't print and see if it helps:

Thanks for all the suggestions and help, Kelly!  I truly appreciate it!!  I'll give all these a try and see which one works best.  I'll be sure to post back so that others who may search for this solution in the future have the information.
