Snagit 12 - What the hell happened to a good program

Shitloads of crap come up in this new version that nobody needs, I cannot even do a simple screen shot anymore with one click, now it is many clicks. An annoying bar sits at the top of my screen that I cannot seem to get rid of. The old version never needed a user manual, and I will surely not start using one now.  This is a worsification on the same level as the Windows ribbon replacing the gold old menu bars.I used to like this program and recommended my company buy it, now I just want to get rid of it and prefer to use the Windows built in Snipping tool. Is there a free downgrade option to the old version?

Many of us, TechSmith customers, agree with you based on the amount of flack in this forum. The "New" interface is a step backward in usability. I hope they will take this back to the team like they mention in other posts. The more I use it the More I like the Previous interface much better. Please give us an option to use the previous interface with the New features in 13. I do like the Panoramic capture. I still do Not like the New interface.

Yes, many people have complained about v13 because of the same problems and already rolled back to v12 (I am one of them). FYI, you can still download previous Snagit versions here:

I worked with SnagIt versions 8 through 11 for years, then stopped upgrading just before version 12 came out. So I cannot claim about any worsification from 12 to 13.

Now I have upgraded from version 11 to 13 and I like several improvents. What is really frustrating me with version 13 are mainly all the bugs in editor (specially the inprecise positioning of the cursor in pixel grid modes) and the lot of additionally needed clicks for common tasks. I am still looking for urgently needed corrections.
