SnagIt 2018 (and all versions) extremely buggy when using trackpad gestures in MacOS

Does anyone else experience this?

On MacOS (Macbook Pro) I use both tap-to-click, and three-finger-drag gestures (in accessibility options).

When trying to use these gestures, marking up the image in SnagIt Editor is extremely buggy.  Attempting to resize or position things is often impossible.  It's as if SnagIt doesn't recognize the gestures as real "clicks" / "drags".  It "feels" related to the code that monitors for "mouse up" events.  I've noticed if I force myself to do a real click, things more or less work as expected.

It's very hard to explain, but if you enable these gestures and try to use the SnagIt Editor you'll see what I mean.  It's practically unusable.  It's been this way for the past several versions.  I keep hoping it'll get fixed in a patch/upgrade, but it never does.

TechSmith, please fix this.  Not just for people like me who find these options make the trackpad significantly easier to use, but for truly handicapped users who have no other choice than to use them.

For what it's worth, IT just got me a copy of 2019 which finally seems to fix these gesture issues.

Folks stuck on 2018 or below are still out of luck though.
