Snagit 2018 | Cannot Install Codec To Record System Audio

Hi there:

I'm trying to record some system audio for a tutorial I'm making for work and with the recent update, I've been unable to install the codec required to do so. I kept on being prompted to install it even when I already did so I thought to purchase the upgrade to 2018 thinking that may resolve the problem.

Unfortunately, it did not. And this time I'm given a security prompt, type in my system password, then nothing happens. At least with the previous version, I was given an installation wizard to walk through.

Is this similar to the DisplayLink issue that has broken their software? This is rather irritating that this has come up with paid software.

Sorry about the issues! Are you using DisplayLink? If so, Apple requires you to have physical access to a machine to install components like the one we have for system audio. If that's not the issue, I would reach out to our Tech Support team and they should be able to help you get this installed.
