SnagIt 2018 Copy All change in how it works

With previous versions when you did an edit on the document, like cutting out a section, you could click on "copy all" and the revised version would be in your clipboard to paste into other content.  With 2018 you have to, after the edit, click on the Select tool, click on the object then "Copy all".  Liked it much better the pre-2018 way.  Regression IMHO.

Still works for me.  You might want to log it as a support issue?

Thanks Paul.  So I went back in and played with it a bit.   The ONLY tool that does not seem to work for me as it used to is the "Cut Out" tool.  After cutting something out, if you click on Copy all and then paste it it pastes previous grab.  BUT if you cut out, then go to anything else and click Copy All it seems to work fine, pasting the correct content from the cut out tool.

Did you try the cut out tool to have good results?

Cut out tool is just plain weird.  Getting out of cut out mode requires you to click the 'select' tool for some reason.  Maybe the two are connected.

I had an idea a while back that the copy all button could be dispensed with if SnagIt did an automatic copy to clipboard at the end of every edit.  You wouldn't even notice it was happening, and then you'd ALWAYS have the latest version available to paste

Glad I am not going crazy, it is different from the previous version because I use it frequently.  Cheers.

Got a note from tech support, they see this as a bug and wrote it up as such.  time for fix as to be determined.  Very pleased with their support.

Yes Copy All could be improved VERY SOON. I am also concerned about capture of a scrolling region, it comes as a very thin tube, and does not look like the original. Needs a lot of editing.
