not sure if we're hitting a limit here, or if this should be possible - we're record the minutes of a meeting being typed with audio, so a Word document being modified with audio so that the meeting support staff can watch and listen after the meeting to fill in things they missed typing during the meeting.
the meetings are taking around 5 hours, and more often than not at the end of the night the application crashes instead of saving the document. are we asking too much of Snagit?
have disabled webcam, done the allowmfaudiocapture setting to 0.
trying to save to a network drive.

thanks for you help fellow Snagits.

Does it have to be 1 recording?
Could you stop it at 2-1/2 hours, save and re-start recording.
Or use any logical intermission like a bathroom break?

As Bob said save it in chunks instead of all together.

Whoever is doing the typing can save and restart it at logical breaks when they stop typing.

Trying to save to a Network drive. Is probably creating the problem.

The SnagIt recorder. Records "On the Fly" to the C drive by default.
Local Disc (C:) > Users > User Name > AppData > Local > Temp

The only thing that should be restricting duration. Is the space available on your hard drive.

Recording shorter videos isn't a bad Idea. But it shouldn't be required.
