Snagit 2018 for Mac, how do you REDUCE frame rate on screen captures??

This is killing me.  In Snagit 2018 I want to record screen captures at the lowest possible frame rate, since the screen will not update a lot.  I basically want a slideshow with narration, just so I can capture my thoughts about something quickly and easily.

I cannot find any way to do this.  There are no video capture settings anywhere... or am I blind??  I really hope they're here somewhere and I'm just somehow managing to miss them.  Appreciate any pointers anyone can give.  So far all I can find is that the Windows version can do this.

To make matters worse, it seems that even the file export option of Snagit doesn't allow for any alterations at all.  I can't adjust frame rate, image size, compression settings, nothing.  This seems impossible that a tool like this could be lacking such basic functionality.  Can someone please point me in the right direction here?

OK nevermind... according to chat support, Snagit can't do these things!  I'm horrified... such basic, fundamental, and simple things that any decent screen recorder should have.  Screenflow can do it, so obviously it's possible... I just don't want a light application for simple fast screen recordings, no editing, no effects, just capturing my thoughts on screen.  Oh well.

TECHSMITH: Please add a feature to record at a chosen frame rate, or to reduce video to a chosen frame rate.

Snagit 2019 & 2020 still do not have a way to record at a low FPS nor to reduce video capture to a low frame rate.
For many of the screen capture videos which I do, 3 FPS is plenty because there is very little motion on the display. Pretty much a slideshow with narration and an occasional mouse movement. If I resave the snagit video using a 3rd party tool (Bigasoft total video converter $50) I can reduce a 12 gb video to 1.3 gb without any change in quality. Every frame looks exactly the same, but there are less frames, so the filesize is smaller.

Please. People have been asking for this for years.
