SnagIt 2018 on macOS Video Capture Error

I am using SnagIt 2018 version 2018.2.3 (91457) on macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6. Every time I try to do a video recording I receive the following two errors:

  1. Capture Failed
    Video Capture Failed: An unknown error occurred.

  2. Capture Failed
    Try restarting the recording. If the issue continues, please restart your computer.
I've been using Camtasia 2018 as a backup without issue, but I'd really like to get back to using SnagIt 2018 for it's convenience.

Sorry about this! Have you tried updating to version 2018.2.5? We made some improvements to video stability in that version. Let us know if you are still running into issues with that version.

it might be High Sierra; I don't want to blame SnagitĀ  for every thing.

Thanks for your reply Luke. I went ahead and upgraded to SnagIt 2019 and that resolved the issue. I appreciate the quick feedback and thoughts from all. This is resolved!
