Issue with Snagit 2019 and multiple monitors

I recently upgraded to SnagiT 2019 from Snagit 9. I use multiple monitors in my work and find that Snagit gets confused when trying to capture an active Window on the first monitor. Snagit captures the 1st monitor and the 2nd monitor. Very annoying.

Hi - As you're new to Snagit 2019, I'd start by playing with the settings:
Region: Region*, Window, and Full Window.
* I also have 2019 and 3 monitors and can capture any app one one screen partial or full, and/or all 3 screens entirely or any portion thereof.

Here's the display setting for my 3 monitors:

I can move the mouse along the top & bottom of all screens and never lose sight of it. To the registry I have one big 5760 x 1200 pixel monitor. If any of you have different resolution/size monitors or set on differing scales, that alone can cause problems for any software that spans across two or more monitors.

came here with the same issue for Macos catalina -- in my case it was because permissions weren't set correctly, the fix is to got to preferences->capture->fix capture permissions and enable the missing ones.

I was able to fix this by having the same Zoom % in Display Settings>Sacle and Layout.
One monitor was 100% and the other one was 125%.
As my smaller (laptop) monitor was 125%, I changed the other monitor to 125% and now it is working well.

I have the same issue. All my dislays are running at 100% zoom ratio. I can only scan across 2 of the 3 displays.

What are the resolutions? I have 3 monitors 1920 x 1200 each in an 5760 x 1200 configuration. I think there is a limit and it may differ for different versions.

I have had this issue for months and months.  I only install Snagit updates in the hopes that this huge annoyance will be fixed.  The only usable profiles are region and scrolling region.  Everything else grabs all 3 monitors.  I am currently on 2020.1.3.

At one point I even did an uninstall and downgraded to an older version, but could not find an old enough version for the problem to go away.  I searched for a solution several times, but only today found this post, so I thought it was just my machine.

By the way... resetting your settings does not help, you just lose all your profiles, so don't bother.
