SnagIt 2020 Mac duplicates every image capture

Since upgrading to SnagIt 2020 Mac every time I do a screen capture (image) SnagIt creates two copies of the capture and stores two copies in my clipboard.

Frustrating as when I go to paste the latest capture in an email or a message there are always two copies.

Hi,

That's an interesting issue! I tried a few things and I'm not seeing this, so I have a few questions about your setup:

1. What version of Snagit 2020 and macOS are you running?
2. Are you using a capture preset or just the big red button?
3. Are you actually getting 2 captures appearing in Snagit's editor?
4. What email client are you seeing this with? Does it happen if you paste into other apps, like maybe a word document?
5. Do you have a clipboard manager app that lets you see what's in your clipboard? If so, is it showing duplicates?

A little technical background for these questions if you're interested: when you copy something to clipboard it's standard to put a few different file formats there so each destination you paste into can decide what format it wants. Basically i'm trying to figure out if this is a bug with Snagit or with the destination you're pasting to.

I get two captures in my editor!  Doesn't happen all the time, but on occasion it does. can you tell me why?

Thanks!

1. SnagIt 2020 v1010.1.1 (97015) Mac OS 10.15.3
2. Just the big red button
3. Yes 2 captures appear in the editor and are copied to the clipboard
4. I used email as an example for you to understand that there were 2 copies in the clipboard. It's the same no matter where the images are pasted from the clipboard to.
5. No clipboard manager app. Simple Mac OS clipboard. The clipboard is pasting duplicates and duplicates are appearing in the editor every time we do an image capture.

Let me know if I can provide any other information.

Thanks for the info, the only times I've seen double captures is if i have a capture profile and i accidentally hit the hotkey twice, but that's an intermittent occurrence and it sounds like you're seeing it every time. If you open up a ticket with our Tech Support they can work with you directly to figure out why this is happening.

I just did a capture, 2 minutes ago, and got double pastes at bottom of my editor. As I look at the previous captures at bottom of editor, I see duplicates and singles.,  I know I don't hit the hot key twice. My hot keys are "Command+Z" and once I click those two, it goes into the capture mode.  Luke, if you happen to find out what causes this, please post it, I dread having to do a support ticket.

Is there any chance you have 2 capture presets with the same hotkey?
