Snagit and Camtasia - functionality problems, bugs, error messages etc

I am beginning at long last to wonder what is going on at TechSmith. I have not been using either of the products as intensively now compared with before. Snagit was the one I used much more.
Perhaps I receive most of the error messages as sometimes there are useful tips that would help me.
I believe I have one of the greatest advolcates at least for Snagit 13.1.1 (32 Bit Build 7662) the latest version according to the web site. Today I was horrified to see the results of a scrolling capture. It was a normal page A4 and itscrolled down and captured to the end. But what I saw in the editor was ridiculous - unreadable, width had been compressed and was pencil thin..

How can TechSmith such a correct quality oriented company earlier have come to this situation beats me. IMHO no proper testing before release, and earlier like many other points made on this community it was working fairly OK, not perfect.

Is it a management problem, didain for customers, or what? I am fighting one of the battles of my life on FB over this stupid Brexit decision in the UK, and I need to have this sort of capture working properly, as well as GIF creation where I think I've seen many error reports. Dont have time to check now becasue it is 3 in the morning,

So what can TechSmith do even though time is running out to once again start serving thier customers with quality and properly checked processes and procedures. Somebody in management should take a long hard look at the dates when bugs were reported and the date when fixed. That would not make pretty reading at all. But it would show the scope of the problems.

I wanted to attach a file but don't see anywhere on this page where I can do that. The only thing is sentiment  and I am feeling..........

Now found the means for uploading a file. But my God, you do make it difficult 2MB max in size.
Compression reduced it from 5.6 Mb to 4.5 - stilol too big great!

Fellow users - forgive please what may sound like a rant - but it is my impression that things are going from bad to worse. I have earlier been one of your most ardent advocates, recommending to many of my friends the software. But in all honesty not really willing to do that any more unless management tyakes a long hard look at what is being achived.

Sorry, going to sleep now to face the battles ahead tomorrow.

Brian

PS Dont like the new interface either. Much better before where the capture opened immediately. Dont expect TechSmith to understand reasons for that preference.

PS2 Have a great day everyone!

The corporate destruction of Snagit began with v12. Some of us think they don't CAR what the end user needs or how they use it. There are some employees that post here that try to help the best they can. It is more of a corporate arrogance: more interested in creating features that sound good in advertising. There are many cases in the forums where the "fix" is to downgrade to an earlier version. That is the cry of hopelessness

Too true I think Rick. I dont think it productive to have a conspiracy of silence. I think your last sentence sums up the situation fairly well.  Do you think they can get their act together even at this late stage?

I don't know. For a while some tried to inspire them to fix their products but it seems no one is really listening.
