Snagit auto-select area is wrong in Skype for Business

When I am in a Skype for Business (Lync) meeting and watching someone else share their screen, if I try to capture their screen with Snagit, the auto-select is unable to correctly identify the region of the sharing window.   See the animated GIF in the link below.

I tested this with TeamViewer and it has no issues identifying the sharing window.

Are you able to reproduce this issue when viewing a Skype for Business presentation?  Please like this post if this bothers you too.

It appears as though you have snagit set to a "fixed region".

Change the selection to "region" and you'll be cooking with gas.

With any selection, you can move the cursor to anywhere on the screen using your crosshairs as a target. Once you place the crosshairs close to your intended target you can actually release the mouse, then use your arrow keys to fine tune your selection.
Hit the "Space bar" to start your selection.
Then move the cursor/crosshairs to the next location on the screen using the crosshairs. Once again you can release your mouse and fine tune your selection using the arrow keys if desired. Then hit the enter key to complete your selection.

I appreciate the feedback.  I've been using Snagit for a long time.  This is not a case of the user not knowing how to use the tool.  I am reporting a bug where the tool attempts to auto-select a region, but gets it wrong.   In most other applications it does a great job at auto-selection.

I want to report that with Skype for Business, Snagit does not recognize the correct window size.  I'm hoping that bringing this to the forum, other people would say "I noticed this too" and Techsmith would bump it up on their to-do list.

I just submitted a ticket.

Getting a quick capture in a Skype presentation is more of a challenge than you normally encounter on the desktop.  I'm trying to capture a screen that is in motion, controlled by someone else.  It may only be there for a brief moment.  I may not have the opportunity to interrupt the presenter to say "hold on a sec, I want to take a picture."    My work-around to this situation is to capture the full screen and then crop it later.   If Snagit worked in Skype like it does elsewhere, I could just point and shoot and instantly have a perfectly framed shot, and then get back to focusing on the ongoing presentation.
