Capture Mode Selection
IT IS ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL THAT CAPTURE MODE BE SELECTED AFTER THE AREA OF CAPTURE IS SELECTED. In a fast moving environment were Snagit is a tool and NOT an end destination - It is absolutely CRITICAL  that the operator be allowed to select the capture mode AFTER the area to be captured is selected!  this was available in earlier version-- PLEASE PLEASE GET A HANDLE ON THE DEVELOPMENT TEAM- More and More features are becoming NON INTUITIVE

Hi Superarr;

Perhaps I am a bit confused; currently when you start a Snagit capture you draw a selection then a small window appears asking what type of capture you would like to take (Image, Video, Panoramic). Are you referring to a different type of behavior?

P.S. Thank you for the interactive response- we were really getting very tired of trying to work with this interface and it seemed as Techsmith had lost touch with the user base!!

NOW that all in one setting works great- One wonders why you would need the other 2 selections and WHY would they be persistent?

Hi Superarr;

Glad to get you back up and running!

The settings in my screen shot are actually the default settings for Snagit, it is, though, designed to retain the last capture settings used. This allows user the flexibility to set their desired settings and leave it that way; the reset settings button is there for users like you that prefer the ability to select a region then choose the capture type, but may need to do a different capture type from time to time.

Hope that helps!

We can work with that- would be nice if that was a setting as well - but things could get crazy if we continued down that path HUH?
