Snagit complains it can't find vcruntime140_1.dll

I installed some s/w that I then realised I didn't need, so I decided to clean up. Unfortunately .... it obviously took more than it should have.
Now, every time I try to start Snagit (2019 on Windows 10) I get a message that it can't find VCRUNTIME140_1.dll.
I've googled and reinstalled VC_redist.x86.exe and vc_redist.x64.exe as well as Snagit, but nothing has helped so far.

Grateful for any further suggestions. (I've found various sites offering a download of the DLL but I'm not that stupid)

Michael, I do not have a solution for you for fixing Snag-it, especially not know what version you are using, nor whether you are on a Windows computer or a Mac.. BUT, I can recommend something that may get you over the hurdle with getting Snag-it to work IF you are running a Windows based computer. There is a tool from the company called IoBit called Uninstaller, and there is a free version. This tool removes an application much better than Windows, and it will remove all of it. BUT, if you have saved your Snag-it captured files in folders created or managed by Snag-it, it may delete those as well. The best practice when using Snag-it is to setup your own folders, and just have Snag-it point to it/them when you are using the Snag-it tool.

Thank you Vincent, but I have a suspicion the problem isn't with Snagit, rather it's an uninstall via the Control Panel that has screwed things up.
To answer your question, I'm running Windows 10.
Do you have Snagit installed, and if so, do you have a version of VCRUNTIME140_1.dll anywhere on your PC ?

Apparently, you need a very specific version of the dll for your operation system.
I found 4 on my c drive. I suspect the one in system 32 would be the one you're looking for.

However, after reading this article. https://ugetfix.com/ask/how-to-fix-vcruntime140-dll-is-missing-error-on-windows/

Theres a high probability I would be handing you a poison pill.

Last I knew, if you type Get Help in windows search bar. Tolerate the computer  driven wizard and answer some initial questions.
You can get connected to Live free tech support through Microsoft. You'll have to sign into your Microsoft account to connect to an actual agent.

Thanks Joe, but you're not confusing what you found on the C-drive as ...140.dll with what I'm missing (140_1.dll) are you.
I did a search (obviously) and found a number of 140.dll, but no _1.dll

Sorry Joe, reviewed your reply on my telephone. These old eyes didn't see your screen capture showing the 4 examples.

Ha ha, you would have had to had some pretty amazing eyes to see it. I didn't add the image until after you asked me about the underscore. Personally, I feel I-phones are nice, and an overpriced  gimmick at the same time.

Have you tried a repair install of Snagit ?

If that doesn't work do a un-insatll and re-install of Snagit.

Many programs install this file to the location they need it to be.

Tried that .... twice ☹️

My impression is that it's something to do with either a visual studio uninstall or a ditto C++
