SnagIt doesn't honour Windows 10 split screen mode

I work with a big 2560 x 1440 screen split down the middle.

As usual for that mode, I can drag the SnagIt screen off to one side into the splitscreen hot zone and it will snap to half of the screen. When a screenshot is big, I sometimes have to take SnagIt full screen to deal with it.  When I'm done I want SnagIt to snap back to the half screen it used to occupy.  This should happen when you toggle the maximise button.

Of all the apps I use, SnagIt is the only one that doesn't follow the correct behaviour.  Instead of snapping back to and locking on to its previous position, it becomes a floating window occupying about 80% of the window.

Anyone know how to fix this please?

SnagIt 11 has the same problem, except it covers 99% of the screen when you try to go back to split screen.
So to me, it doesn't look good for your prospects moving forward.

I upgraded to a 32" 2560 x 1440 primary monitor a few months ago and I really like it.
But when I take a full screen capture of an application and save it. It can exceed 2mb in size and cannot be uploaded to this website.
An application sized to 1920 x 1080 on a 32" monitor. Is 24 inches diagonally. It makes images file sizes small enough to upload successfully.
I can live with that temporarily, I was running dual 23" monitors for years. My secondary is still a 23".

So I would resize SnagIt to 1920 x 1080 and take the appropriate screen shots. Maximize the editor and edit the captures at 100% zoom.A beautiful thing.

Except, EVERY STINKING TIME I restart my computer.
SnagIt forgets how to minimize to 1920x1080. So I resized manually for a while but got tired of doing it.

I was playing around and can confirm your problem exactly. It covers about 80% of the screen after attempting to go back to split screen.

I gave my problem a whirl, restarted the computer, and it remembered how to minimize correctly.WOW. It's been a couple of updates since I've tried.
I don't know if that will be the case tomorrow. But SnagIt has a serious Maximize/Minimize memory problem.
Don't tell support, they might fix your issue and break mine.
