Snagit - fine control for video editing, please

Snagit is my goto-tool when grabbing content, but I don't understand why there is no fine control when trimming excess video content.

I appreciate there's frame by frame, and coarse scrubbing to create a cut region, but why is there nothing in between?  Even being able to edit the text boxes with the time markers would be an improvement.

Come on guys, this isn't an expensive feature, and would greatly improve the user experience of the product!

Snag it is a still frame capture tool, with minimal video features added as a bonus.

Camtasia is a video editing tool, and is probably a better fit for you.

I'm sure it's a very fine line TechSmith walks with regards to how many features to add to SnagIt before saying "you gotta go to Camtasia if you want that kind of control".

Add too many features and folks won't use Camtasia. And SnagIt likely increases to hundreds of dollars to use!

Cheers... Rick :)

I would be satisfied with fine control editing to full "seconds." I just want to be able to trim leading and ending sections of a recording and occasionally sections in the middle and not have to fight SnagIt to set the appropriate point. I think that's basic enough to be expected. My 2 cents.
