Please add the feature to KEEP screenshots stored in Library EVEN when these are saved as jpg, png, ... file on hard drive

I use the library as archive, but when I save a screenshot as file and later move these saved images somewhere else, they get lost in the library.

Also I can't add ( drag n drop ) images in the library which would be cool to keep them organized and tagged.

Please allow to KEEP all screenshots in the library no matter if we save a copy as image.

Please allow image-file drag n drop into library too!

That is not the way it works. They are like temp files exept they are stored where they cannot be EASILY deleted
Just pick a format that you use (I use snag) then get in the habit of saving each time
THere is already a folder that snagit adds to hold these saves
\My Documents\Snagit
Although you don't need to use that particular folder.
Don't feel bad. I went through this with a Paintshop issue. Short story: I was using the wrong tool

Captures saved within the library are maintained with the library.  However, if you move files outside of Snagit then it has no way of knowing what is going on and it loses track of a capture resulting in a broken link. Snagit just has no way of tracking anything done outside of the program. If you want to maintain track of all your captures then just manipulate them within the Snagit library

Previous Snagit versions, for example my favorite v11, allowed users to view the contents of all the folders in your machine.  Apparently this caused some confusion and this feature is no longer available in the newest version.  I heartily agree that it should be a feature since there you could drag and drop files and not just Snagit captures.  If this matter to you then try installing v11.

As Rick says, if you get into a habit of saving captures as Snag files then modifications will be available for later changes and you can always then save that file in a more widely used format for use outside of Snagit.

The Snagit library:
