Snagit Pros: Is there an option in snagit for windows that can automatically capture a list of webpage URLS?

Hi, we're migrating a sharepoint website with about 5000 "sub" sites.
It's an internal site (not accessible from the internet)
I'd like to take a list of all 5000 URL's and have a tool (snagit or otherwise) capture each a screenshot of what that URL looks like in the browser.

Does Snag it for windows have this capability?
If not is there a command line tool that can be used to tell snagit to make a single capture of a URL?

Hello Jack - Snagit COM server may be able to accomplish that; it lets you control Snagit programmatically from another application. Documentation and sample projects are on our Enterprise Resources page. I am not an engineer so cannot be much help when it comes to specific technical questions but that may get you started in the right direction.

Can I ask about what you'll use the screenshots to accomplish? Is this part of a QA effort (e.g., seeing how the pages render on various browsers), content backup for later reference, something else?

Hi Daniel,

Part of a QA/Testing effort - we're migrating a sharepoint farm from one version of sharepoint to a new version and need a quick way to spot check that each of the 5000 sites looks correct. The screenshots will also serve as documentation should things break later on.

Gotcha - for spot checking a migration, automated capture via Snagit COM server might be a good option. For full-on automated testing across lots of desktop and mobile browsers, I would recommend something like Browserstack.
