Snagit Remote Desktop cursor flickering and unusable

I am having a problem using Snagit to capture from a remote desktop. The cursor flickers during capture and is very difficult to move. This also happens in Camtasia as well.

I found this solution for Camtasia: https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/articles/203728868-Camtasia-Windows-During-Recording-My-Cursor-Flickers. This solution seems to solve the problem, but I cannot find the Catprue Layered Windows setting in Snagit (I don't know if it exists). Is there a similar solution in Snagit.

Does anyone know if there are other issues that crop up if using this solution for Camtasia. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

What remote software are you using?

FWIW, I've been using Snagit and Camtasia for years with "Team Viewer" (free) remote control and have never had a problem.

Can't help it - gotta give a big shout out for Team Viewer. I've been using it for many years with a variety of systems, including connecting to Macs from PCs, etc. Works great and is consistently great. I'm not a huge fan of Windows RDC. Give Team Viewer a try.
