Snagit 18.  Have this little bit of a menu bar appearing at the bottom of my videos - can one remove this in Snagit?

What version of SnagIt are you using?

It shouldn't be part of the video normally. You seem to have a bug of some sorts. It's there to aid you while recording. But that is all.

Snagit 18 - I was wondering if there wasn't some switch to toggle it on/off but not found anything.

SnagIt normally records the area you tell it to record. As such, is this a recording of another video playing? If it is, you likely captured part of the controls you see when hovering the initial video.

That's my own guess.

Assuming I'm correct, there is no way I'm aware of to "trim" it out of your video. That's something Camtasia could do, but not SnagIt.

Cheers... Rick :)

I figured it out, those are Quick Controls.
You can disable them in Capture Preferences {:>)

I use dual monitors. So those controls don't appear for me If I'm capturing 1 monitor. The full set of controls just bounce  over to the other monitor instead. I assumed it was a bug.

I killed a monitor and got to where you were.

That It!

Thanks Joe, I was on my laptop alone.  I usually use it with dual screens - with all the controls on one screen - and my screen I'm recording all my itself.  Appreciate the help from all.
