When I tried to do a scrolling capture in Snag it on Windows 10, it does not work. I have done it a few times before but now nothing. I have watched the tutorial 20 times but cant see where I am making a mistake. I was going to upgrade but not now.

Try the Panoramic Scrolling. Likely you will have much better results!

I have the same issue with SnagIt_19.1.3.3847 on Win 10 64 bit.

In the past, I was able to take a scrolling screenshot within firefox browser. When I started the capture I pointed the mouse pointer to the bottom of the browser window. Then, orange blinking arrows appeared. When I clicked on the arrow pointing downwards the inner content of the browser window started scrolling automatically. This is exactly what I wanted. However, this feature does not work anymore on Firefox 69.0.1. Strange: The feature still works on IE 11.

I know about the panorama feature. But that is not the same as it does not scroll automatically! And it requires much more user interaction.

What is the reason that on Firefox automatic scrolling does not work anymore? Are you going to do something about it?

To the best of my knowledge ,  browser updates are primary problem.

This has been a problem forever. A browser changes in some way. Then TechSmith has to come up with maintenance update to correct it.
Then, X number of months, weeks, ? later. And it's broke again. Leaving you to wait for the next update.
It's a hard game to win.

I get that--- but there's usually a fairly well-laid roadmap for what's changing in browsers (thinking along the lines of nightly, dev, beta, release).  I though the SI2020 version would've improved in this area, but that's not been my experience thus far.

I had an issue the other day where the scrolling arrow would appear but it didn't capture the scrolling content.  I figured out that you have to make sure the window that you're capturing from has focus before you hit print screen.  Then the scrolling worked as expected for me.
