Snagit 2019 share to OneNote 2010

I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issue I am having.
Everything was fine until I upgraded from Snagit 2018 to  2019.  I use OneNote 2010 extensively for a lot of things, and have thousands of pages.  I had several profiles set up to perform various tasks automatically.

Then I upgraded to Snagit 2019 and everything stopped working for OneNote.  I no longer could share with OneNote and received an error.  I entered a support ticket and after several iterations back and forth it eventually worked...... then...

Stupidly I accepted an update to Snagit 2019 and it stopped working again, and nothing I did the first time to resolve it fixes it this time. 

Throughout the resolution process initially, I even tried using share with OneNote 2016, and that did not work either. 

If anyone has Snagit 2019 successfully working with OneNote 2010, please let me know.  Thanks.

I would try removing the OneNote output in Snagit and then download and install the output for OneNote 2010 for the version of Snagit you have.

Restart Snagit after you remove the output and also after you install the downloaded output.

I've done that a few times actually.  OneNote was not even included in the initial install of 2019, so when I added OneNote 2010, it was the first time.  I've already removed it and reinstalled it again.  Nothing seems to work.

Well the only other things I can think to try is to

1. Do a Repair install of Snagit.
You may have a corrupt or missing file that's causing the issue.

2. Contact Support again.
They can dig in to it more than we can from the forum.

Shy of those maybe someone that is using OneNote 2010 will pop in to this thread with something.

I'm on a business 365 account but I don't use OneNote for my work.
Wish I had more to offer

You could run SnagIt 2018 as well,
If you save library captures to the same folder. It's a seamless process because the Library and Recent Capture menu in the editor. Will contain identical information.

This is a suggestion as a temporary workaround until the issue is resolved.

I  would use 2018 exclusively, unless I needed a specific 2019 only feature. Because you have to exit SnagIt 2018 to fire up 2019.Other than that, when you open 2019. The Library, and even the current image in the canvas area, and recent captures tray. Will be no different than 2018.

Thanks. I might try that.  Everything was working until I updated to 2019.  Then once it was working (after a LOT of pain), I accepted an update and that broke it again.   I was so tempted to go back to Snagit 12 where everything worked :(.


Since I own a license to 2018 as well, I might try your suggestion.  Thanks!
