SnagIt Suggestion: New Callout with Multiple Arrows

I do screen captures where I need to point to multiple items. For example a spreadsheet where I want to point to multiple rows or a list of people and I want to point to multiple individuals. Right now I use a callout and add arrows but then if I move the callout then I have to realign each arrow.

I would like to see the ability to anchor arrows to objects as in Visio, including the callout.

Hi Luke,
Thanks for the suggestion! I also use a lot of callouts where multiple arrows are helpful, so it would be nice to have a native one available.

There are two things I can suggest in the meantime which might be helpful:

1. Speech bubble tails - There is a blue/green dot on all speech bubble callouts which allows you to add another tail which can be used to point out things in your capture.

Another option is to create a blank Snagit project (Ctrl/Cmd + N) and then create the callout. Save it as a transparent PNG and drag it into captures when you need arrows. Unfortunately, you won't be able to edit the position of the arrows any more, but it's another solution in a pinch.

I've passed this feedback along to the Snagit team for the time being. Thanks again for the suggestion!

Hi, Brian,
Are this bubble tails only in the newest Snagit? I have a version 11.4.3 and cannot find that option.

regards, Natasa

Hi Natasa,
This is currently implemented in Snagit on the Mac side. We're always working on making the platforms more comparable in features and functions, so I've passed this along to the team for consideration.

Sorry for any confusion,
Brian

Thanks Brian. If it is only on the Mac it does really work for me but that is very close to what I would like to be able to do.

Hi Luke,
As I mentioned in my reply earlier, I'm sorry I can't give you a better response for Windows. I passed it along to the team for consideration.

Brian
