Hello. I am a brand new snagit user. I am on a Macbook Air running Mojave. All I want to do is decrease the resolution and file size of my videos. They will be between 30-45 minutes and at the default resolution the file sizes will be ginormous! I can't seem to find any options to reduce the resolution, frame rate, or file size. Please help.

Hi,

There is one setting in Snagit that may help you, in the editor's capture settings, make sure "Downsample Retina video recordings" is checked

Opening the result in QuickTime Player and exporting it to a smaller resolution will help.

Here is what i have found under "Snagit Capture Preferences" (Snagit 2020)  .When you change the capture settings from Medium (recommended) to Very Low Quality, the file size for a 7 min video goes from 48K down to 28K  The issue i found is the video is not in sync with the sound and has a stuttering effect on the Very Low quality setting. The is not really usable an alternative for me. BTW i am not on a MAC
