SnagIt (Widget) not shown on the main display

Hello

I have two monitors attached to my notebook and the notebook closed.

SnagIt (the Widget for capturing) doesn't open on the defined main display but on the other one. With the mouse I can drag it over to the main display but after the next restart of the computer, it is again on the second display. There's no option to tell SnagIt which one is my main display. So, how can I change it to be permanently on the main display?

Additional information:

When I had first attached the two monitors, Windows 10 had set the configuration wrong and I changed it (switched the main display and moved it to the left so the previous main display moved to the right). I suppose this might be relevant. I had already installed and used SnagIt before.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello,

I think that's your answer right there; I'd reinstall SnagIt with your current main/secondary definitions.

Thanks for your suggestion. I might try that.

However, I work in a shared desk office and having to reinstall SnagIt always after sitting at a desk with different initial display settings is not really an option. I really hope there is a quicker, easier alternative.

There may be a registry setting but I'd think that held a higher risk (and research time). There are some great contributors here, give it a little time and maybe something simpler will turn up.
