Snagit would like to see in a future upgrade

When saving a Snagit graphic that I have created and it consists of different objects. I would like the option of saving the image with the separated objects so when I come back later I don't have to totally recreate the image. It would be so nice to be able to click on one object in a saved Snagit graphic and change it.  It would be similar to finalizing a disk so you can't put anything on it or leaving the disk open so you may add more to the disk.  Is this something TechSmith could do.

Save it as a SNAG file and all the layers are preserved. If you save as anything else it will all be flattened
If you do this a lot you can change the default save file format to SNAG

Thank you, I have never tried that.  What a great tip.  The crazy thing is I did ask someone at TechSmith about this and I was told that "No, once I closed Snagit the image was fixed".
I am a very happy camper right now.

I learn something in here almost every day. We all use it differently and you may be in corners I never thought to explore so we end up helping each other
You CAN flatten stuff in a snag file so be on the lookout for the "Flatten everything?" message
