Frustrating... I've used SNAGIT for years... our company had a 100 user license before the crash of 2007... all WIN XP Pro machines... (still running one with the problem below)...

This machine has been running SNAGIT for years... all of a sudden in January 2012 SNAGIT stopped working... after exchanges with Tech Support we discovered DLL problems... Dependency Walker reported problems with IESHIMS.DLL & WER.DLL (they were not found in a search of my machine/they must have been there some time darn thing worked before)... ALSO MFC90U.DLL was reported a problem (it appears all through my machine including the Snagit directory)...

Tech support suggested "re-registering the dll's"... but couldn't tell me where they should go (which directory)... or which versions to use... Incident: 120107-000056...
maybe more information is available now...

I'm willing to upgrade to SNAGIT 11 if that will solve my problem... IS THERE A FIX...!!!
PLEASE HELP... (I've already removed and reinstalled a couple of times)
Thanks in advance...
Ed

Hi Ed! Can you try installing the following package from Microsoft? http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downlo...

You want the vcredist_x86.exe one if it is a 32-bit version of Windows XP (which is likely). That should include the latest mfc90u.dll file that seems to be causing the problem.

If that doesn't work, can you try installing Snagit 11.1 from http://www.techsmith.com/download/sna... and see if that works for you?

Thanks,
Chris
